The relationship between the pH levels in the soil to the growth of variety of plants are determined by whether the population affects the pH levels. We predicted that the pH levels would be higher in high populated areas because there must be more hydrogen ion due to the fact there are more plants. Our data shows the pH levels are clearly higher in high populated areas than the low populated areas.
The pH levels in the soil was our independent variable and if we changed the independent variable, it will express a different way to measure the dependent variable which is growth of variety of plants. For example, some factors we could have tested are drainage ability, light, or insects.
Drainage ability - test the drainage ability to how it can affect the growth of variety of plants (the removal of water).
Light - Test how light can affect the growth of the variety of plants (shady, light, neutral)
Insects - Test how certain bugs can affect the growth of the variety of plants (process of healing)
